Secondary

Sunny View Secondary provides a complete British education following National Curriculum guidelines through Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 and 9), Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11) and Key Stage 5 (Years 12 and 13).

All students are prepared for GCSE examinations with Edexcel in Key Stage 4 and the range of subjects offered includes English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, History, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Spanish, French, German, Business Studies, Art and Design, Drama, Physical Education and Information Communications Technology.

In Key Stage 5 and upon completion of the GCSE examinations, students may continue their studies at Sunny View by opting for A levels. The subjects offered at A level include Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, History, Spanish, French, German, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Economics and Business Studies.

On completion of their A levels, the majority of our students move on to university education in the UK. For those choosing to go to university here in Spain, as A levels are externally and independently assessed qualifications, students do not need to complete a university entrance exam (selectividad).

PE, PSHE, Music, Art and tutorial time are also included in the curriculum. The use of computers is encouraged and drama is a favourite activity throughout the school. Students in Secondary can also sample a range of extra-curricular activities.
