Language as a tool for communication is important and precious, and the English language has become particularly important because of its wide usage throughout the world. In English classes, you can discover the possibilities of language and communication, escape to other worlds, to other cultures and traditions, to fantastic lands full of extraordinary characters.
Where else could homework be a chance to free your mind, to explore the thoughts and feelings of any character alive, dead or imaginary? English at Sunny View is taught by a team of two specialists who meet regularly to sustain and evolve teaching and learning. Our aim is simple: to realise every student's full potential as a reader, writer, speaker and listener. We try to achieve this aim through a variety of both traditional and innovative approaches and, above all, try to inculcate a sense of the joy to be derived from language and literature.
Literatura Inglesa en A Level
La Literatura Inglesa es más parecida al Inglés que se estudia en los cursos previos. Si disfrutan el tratamiento de la poesía, la prosa y las obras de teatro y aprecian los conocimientos y la magia de la literatura, entonces ésta es su opción. La Literatura Inglesa exige tener la capacidad de analizar y tratar textos literarios, debatir sobre ideas relativas a la capacidad de leer y escribir, la cultura y la sociedad, que son conocimientos esenciales valorados por universidades y empleadores. El departamento tiene un exitoso historial de excelentes resultados tanto en A/S como en A2.
