Terms and Conditions for School Trips
Year 7 to 13
Personal Items
-
Students may like to take spending money for shopping and gifts. Food and drink will be provided on all the trips. Students are responsible for their own money. We would not recommend more than 50 euros.
-
Students are required to bring enough clothes and toiletries for 4 days. Students must bring their own toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap etc.). Clothing should be appropriate for the weather and time of year and should include sensible footwear, swimming costumes and towel, sun cream, a sun hat, mosquito repellent and pyjamas/nightwear. A complete itinerary and equipment list will be sent in due course.
-
Students are advised not to bring any valuables. All personal property is the responsibility of the student and the school will not be held responsible for loss or damage.
-
Students are reminded it is totally prohibited to smoke, vape or the consumption of any illegal drugs; also any sharp instruments (pen knives, scissors), lighters or matches will not be allowed.

Mobile phones
-
The use of mobile phones is restricted on school trips and is only allowed at specific times of day, to be determined by the trip leader.

Medication
-
Should any students be taking any kind of medication, they should ensure they have sufficient supply with them for the duration of their stay. For safety reasons all medication must be given to the teachers in charge, with a written indication of the exact dosage/time they are required to take it and all other necessary information.
Behaviour
-
Students are expected to uphold the highest standards of behaviour at all times throughout the trip and to follow all school rules. Any breach of the school rules will be dealt with accordingly and could include not being able to participate in organised activities. Persistent unacceptable behaviour could result in a student being sent home.
-
Students must adhere to all deadlines and times set by teachers.
-
Students have a duty to make teachers aware of where they are and what they are doing at all times.
-
Students must stay in their own rooms at night after the staff member has checked their room except in the case of an emergency. Noise must be kept to a minimum.
-
Students must not buy or accept any goods or gifts which would be contrary to school rules.
-
A Code of Conduct will be given to all participating students to sign before the trip. Students who fail to adhere to that Code of Conduct will be subject to sanction in accordance with the Sunny View School Behaviour Policy.
Payment / Refunds in event of Cancelation
-
Payment of all instalments (where applicable) must be made in full before the specified deadlines.
-
If a student is excluded from school at any time during the academic year after enrolling on a school trip, the school reserves the right not to allow their participation on the residential trip and previous instalments will not be refunded.
-
In the event that the school is forced to cancel the residential trip, a full refund of the payments made until that moment will be made using the same method of payment that was used when making the reservation.
-
If the student or their family cancels their reservation, previous instalments will not be refunded.
